Carneros

This late disgorged sparkler is made from intensely
flavored Carneros Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This
wine is all about intensity, balance, depth and
complexity. The Carneros fog shrouded summer
mornings and the blending of several Dijon and
special field selection clones of Pinot Noir and
Chardonnay gives this wine a multiplicity of fruit
flavors including pear, honeydew melon, peach,
guava and apricot. Beautifully blanace and multilayered,
this wine also has vanilla, oak smoke,
caramel and hints of chocolate and spice that evolve
over time in your glass. Perfect acid balance tingles
the tongue keeping the fruit lively while preserving
it’s creamy fullness. Over 5 years on the yeast
produces a rich texture with the subtle complexity of
aged soft cheese and a fine bubble structure that

2004 Sparkling Rosé

Our Sparkling Rosé is made from 79% Chardonnay from the Carneros region and 21% Zinfandel from State Lane, here in Yountville. The wine was very briefly barrel aged for a touch of richness, then carefully blended to reach the right balance of luscious fruit and elegant structure. Geoff describes it as “sparkling table wine”, recognizing its vinous, more full-bodied character than you’ll find in some sparkling wines.

Misty red in color, our Rosé is youthful and bright on the palate, nicely developed, with jazzy texture and plush beads of bubbles. A fresh strawberry bouquet, along with cherry, banana, guava, and honeysuckle delight the nose while subtle accents of lively strawberry, ruby grapefruit, cranberry, nutmeg and spice linger on the finish.
